This is a beautiful rug! It has a nice backing so it doesn't slide around on the floor. As soon as I layed it on the floor it laid flat and did not curl up from being rolled for storage and shipment. There was absolutely no smell when I opened it (I have bought rugs that had a horrible odor before).
