Ace Atkins is the ONLY one that is able to carry on Robert B. Parker's books that are ACTUALLY in the style of Robert B. Parker. All others, writing different Parker series fail. And on top of Atkins being so good with the Spenser stories, he also writes great stories in his own series of books.

Like the title, Slow Burn, the story was slow to begin, but that did not last long. The pace picked up as did the action. I almost read this book in one day.
