This short but sweet biography goes back in time to discuss the roles Harriet Tubman had in her life. I enjoyed how the book was ordered from old age to young girl and starting some pages with "but before she was..." then listed one of her roles.

This book follows the many different roles Harriet Tubman played throughout her life. Born as Araminta, she spent her days as a slave child. As she grew older, she became so much more. Tubman was a spy, a nurse, a suffragist, and the conductor of the Underground Railroad.

This is so beautiful and the writing was fantastic. My only (tiny) quibble is that I vaguely remember reading somewhere that Harriet was disabled due to some of the severe beatings she endured (something about her eyesight and debilitating headaches maybe? I don't have time to go looking for more...
