    Pretty good. Maybe a bit generically noir, but very competently done. I'm tempted to take away a star for showing a cop waiting in line for a Voodoo donut.

    I wanted to read this mainly because the Tv adaptation is coming out this month and I wanted to have a little background for it. I enjoyed this for what it was and I look forward to seeing how the adaptation handles everything.

    Greg Rucka is a longtime favorite writer of mine, so I was happy to see he was doing a private eye series. Unfortunately, I had set my expectations too high.
