This knife block is fantastic and a most useful addition to my small kitchen. For my use, it has two outstanding features: it does not require a lot of counter space but sits tidily under a cabinet, and I can see clearly each knife protected by the clear plastic covering.

Comfortably fits two chef's knives and a utility knife on one side and a set of Laguiole Steak knives on the other. Holds them great and looks even better!
