This works great for keeping hot things hot and cold things cold. While it's not extremely big, it's perfect for lunches. The lid is very tight so you don't need to worry about spills, yet easy to get off - making it great for kids.

I love the seal on this and it stays well insulated from double insulated walls. It also has a button to release steam pressure. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to keep anything hot or cold for about an hour, for work or to drop food off too the sick or elderly.

The compartments are nice size to hold leftovers, which keeps the food warm for several hours, or keep it cold (ie; fruits, desserts, etc). I've never utilized one of these containers before and I must say where has this product been? It has a pressure release valve, is sturdy material and separate side closures. It's actually pretty heavy weight and my guess is cold or hot food it would maintain the temperature. I like the stainless...
