P.S. I don't use the lids for cooking. Another much appreciated result is that it is soooo easy to drain the cooked egg, I hate wet toast. Just lifting it out of the poaching liquid drains it perfectly. I wonder if my heating the water first doesn't prevent the egg from falling apart by starting ...

Excellent- works very effectively. Inner colander makes it very easy to take egg out unlike other poachers. I am also very glad to have one which poaches one egg.
