This was perfect, I did get a pass also but I wanted it to have more cushion, but not completely necessary, colors are perfect, I did let it sit in garage for a couple days but since then no smell.

You do not need the extra padding for this rug and it is an AMAZING rug!! So comfortable to walk on, lay on, and to add that cozy feel to a room that's all flooring!
