A child and his/her father grow the ingredients for vegetable soup. The child describes each step, and everything in the book is labeled, like tools and plants. The book would be a great way to begin a class garden and possibly a great pairing with "Seedfolks" by Paul Fleischman.

Great book for preschool and kindergarten age children. It helps them to identify the process of growing vegetables. It is very colorful and fun to read.

A really nice book with details about how you can plant and grow some known vegetables and step by step how to get it ready for soup. A good resource to have specially if you will be planting some with children in class. Ages 3-6 Head start
