4Q- The Mr. Putter and Tabby series is generally excellent. This one is good, just lacks the subtle humor of some of the others. 5P- Kids will love this book. It is a good read for beginning readers and includes quality illustrations.

We like Cynthia Rylant; my daughter tends to prefer Henry and Mudge, because there are more dogs per page, but she likes Mr. Putter and Tabby, too. This is a sweet book about writing and not writing and cooking and the importance of good reviews.
