It's a mystery to me why the plotting in this series is so much better than in the other series written by these authors together, and also in the books written by them separately. I love Pendergast mysteries so loved this one too although I'll have to say it wasn't one of their best. For my liking, the end kind of fell flat. I'm still a big fan of these mysteries though.
