I have two of these and also bamboo version of this soap pump also from simple human (had it for 2+ years), the mechanism is the same, and they work very well. These have a very beautiful look to them. I am now waiting for Simplehuman Square Tissue Box Holder, Chrome to be back in stock :)

This is my second pump, first one lasted almost five years. I have the caddy that it sits in as well, holds my dobie pad perfectly. The caddy will get slimy from the soap and periodically I'll take it outside and use garden hose nozzle (center setting) to clean, super easy! looks great again.

Love it! First I bought just one and the soap dispenser for the kitchen to try them out. Ilked them so much that I bought 2 more for each bathroom!! The only thing that I would comment is that it's really hard to open the lid. The rim is not to high so you don't have such a good grip to hold onto...
