A beautifully written, not particularly scary, haunted house story. There are some mildly creepy moments, but as long as you don't go into this novel thinking that it will be scary you won't be disappointed.

Read at your own peril The story could've done with less banter in the beginning and the first really scary event could've come sooner than the 50% mark, but it and the following horror scenes sent shivers up and down my spine. All in all, a quite enjoyable psychological horror read.
