Despite those one star reviews this bed holds up.  It IS comfortable and the mattress is not thin. Slats are Euro style and more trustworthy. The lock works fine but the thick mattress must be pushed in between the framing at the top. Then it locks easily. It cannot fall apart if assembled right....
