Reread this in advance of the movie. It's still a very fun read. I was amazed at how fast everything moved and how many storytelling 'rules' Mr. Tolkien violates along the way.

Just great, this is my second or third time reading it. It took awhile because I was listening to the Prancing Pony Podcast as I read. So this meant doing a chapter then listen to a hour and a half to 3 hours worth of podcast discussing the chapter. The podcast is highly recommended.
