This was a wonderful story. I loved most everything about it. The language, the characters, the timing and pace. It was just gorgeous. I read a library copy but I will be buying it because I know I will want to read it again soon.

I enjoyed my time reading this book, but I think I'm going to have to go back and reread it. There was so much nuance and half-explained attributes and characters that I'm not sure I completely understood it. Beautifully written and visual, the writing is why it got 4 stars instead of 3.

This book was very interesting. The text was highly descriptive and the supernatural elements were outside my usually preferred reading however I did enjoy it and would love to see artwork inspired by the book.
