It seems to have lots of power, without loss of movement. It is all plastic like most vacuum today. I don't know it's life expectancy but being all plastic can't help.

Absolutely love this vacuum. Has great suction. You can keep all of the attachments on the vacuum so no more storing the attachments separately. I also LOVE the no tangle brush roll, it works really well!
