Loved this set of short stories! They're clever and thought provoking. I found each story sucked me in and after finishing it, I needed to pause and really ponder the story and some unsettled feelings. This would be a perfect book to discuss in a book club.

The audio version of Hua's book is excellent. The elegant writing lends itself to a very natural cadence when spoken so one can easily follow. The audiobook used for review was received through the Early Reviewers program on LibraryThing.

Loved the narrators of these stories. Not only were they well written, they were well told. Entertaining and sensitive, these stories are about the experience of immigrants and their families that speaks to our world today. Nicely done.
