This is a great book to teach children the concept of perimeter and area in a very fun way. Be sure to highlight the fact that the perimeter changes even though the number of tables (area) stays the same.

This picture book would be a great way to introduce students of all ages to perimeter. It tells the story of a couple throwing a dinner party for their family and even though they have everything under control, the family has other plans! A good story that seems to drag on a bit too long.
