This book is intended for the general public and people interested in learning about the marine life of Bahía de La Paz in Baja California Sur, especially the snorkelers and divers who have wanted to identify and learn more about the algae and organisms that they have seen below the sea surface.

Although we have endeavored to provide the scientific names of each species as reliably as possible, we cannot be absolutely sure that we have succeeded because specimens were not collected, which are sometimes needed to definitively identify an organism based on a defining characteristic.
