I bought this about a month ago and I recieved a very defective model. I sent pictures to customer service and they sent me another one 5 days later that was in very good condition! I didn't even have to send the damaged one back. Two thumbs up on the customer service!!!

I now own 3. This rod is flexible enough to sight cast accurately at cobia and has enough back bone to pull 50+lb. cobia from the rig. All around great rod for nearshore/ offshore.

I bought 2 7ft Ugly Stik Tiger spinning rods 10 years ago and pulled in more 40+ pound fish than I can count work great for every freshwater fish I've encountered and used in salt water for surf,pier and bay fishing love these rods [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I just purchased this rod after reading reviews, went out last Thursday on a 10 hour off shore trip. I pulled in a 20 pound yellow tail with no problems, I also bottom fished white sea bass and rock fish.I highly recommend this rod definitely a great purchase.
