I owned an earlier model of this camera and loved it. So I thought I would upgrade. Sadly the first time I used it on my vacation it leaked and I was unable to take pictures the entire trip. It takes great photos on land but I was unable to test the water features.

I purchased to take on a whitewater rafting trip.  It was wet several times, but never immersed.  I experienced no leakage.  I was especially impressed with the features and image quality which I had not expected.  HD video quality was great expect focusing was inconsistent when zoomed.
