I used my Penn Fathom 6/0 level wind for the first time last weekend. I have to say I have never used a non electric reel that was so smooth and had such fast retrieve. My boat capt who is also my boss purchased his own yesterday. Congratulations on such a fine reel.

Drag works extremely well....! I have been using these style reels for over 20 years, this is the best I have used to date. We use them shallow and deep for offshore fishing. I tried other reels without success, these are a home run!

Have only used reel once so far. Installed on Penn Rampage medium action trolling rod and it is a dream to use. I run 50lb mono and mackerel tree rig and the combo easily handled several double and triple fish hook ups of Spainish and Bluefish off of Virginia Beach. Very happy with the reel can't...

This is going to last me for years. Great reel for bass fishing. Performs better than it looks. This is one solid product. After several uses the line never scratched the spool nor did it dirty it's aperence. Both as a show piece and a functional tool, the reel lives up to Penn's reputation.
