For first 2 wks, still craved the habit of 'smoking something'. These patches are great if you are trying to quit smoking. Definitely do not accidentally forget about them being on though, I did have an allergic reaction when I accidentally left it on. They do not stay on in the shower, but if you let them dry they go back on with no problem.
