I absolutely love this vacuum - it is lightweight and picks up everything - I don't have to adjust to go from hardwood to rug and even my heavy pile carpet. I liked it so much I just ordered another one for upstairs - even though it only weighs 7 lbs - I just want another one for upstairs.

I returned a Dyson canister (air flow powered head) and then a Hoover platinum upright!! The Dyson head brushes stopped turning on my carpet, and the Hoover stuck to it so tight I couldn't push it. The Oreck has large wheels and it moves easily on my 68 oz freize carpet.

This is a very lightweight but sturdy vacuum! Oreck did a great job designing this one! Magnesium handle is super light, long cord, strong suction. It is so light and easy to use even on very dense carpet. The only drawback is there aren't any attachments. Love it!
