I have a newer Dyson, it does a great job but gosh it is so heavy. So bought this for 'in-between' and easier to take up and down stairs of our multi floor home. I've stayed away from bags for over a decade because of our two big dogs. Have to say, I am so surprised how much the vacuum bag holds...

This lightweight vacuum really cleans my short shag carpet. It is light enough to use on the stairs. The HEPA bag is easy to handle and keeps allergens out of the air while cleaning.
