Like others said, the motor is underpowered. It constantly jams, so you have sit next to it the whole time to give the can nudges to keep it turning. A huge pain. It's cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. Spend more and buy one that works. This thing is horrible.

This is about the WORST ice cream maker I have ever hade. When adding the ice and salt it keeps stopping and the can is so thin it has dings and dents in it and has only been used twice. I will never buy another like it

This thing is the worst ice cream maker I have ever had the displeasure to use. Jams constantly motor is way under powered. Do not buy you will regret it.

Gears broke on the second time of using... awkward design and jams easily... doesn't freeze ice cream as well as other machines... spend the extra money to buy a better one...
