I bought these reels for ice fishing and have been mostly impressed with the quality. The drag is smooth as is the retrieve. I like the feeling of a solid built reel and the cardinal SX does not disappoint!

Really good product....and for the price, you can't beat it. Took it out already....hooked on to a 8 lb catfish....light tackle...drag worked to perfection..love my new reel.

My daughter is 11 years old now and her Cardinal reel is almost as old, but it still helps her land cat fish, bass and bluegill. I use it to throw shaky heads and drop shots from time to time. Great value.
