I had this clock for two weeks and it just stoped working

I wanted a battery driven clock because there frequent power outages where I live. There is a button at the top that is a snooze button & it lights up the dial. After using it for less than a year the light doesn't work. My previous clock was a Westclox from Walgreens & it worked for years.
