Portland 1-Handle Kitchen Faucet with Side Spray in Tuscan Bronze

I do have an issue with the spout coming off to examine the diverter as the faucet has been squealing for a few months. When I take everything apart, down to where the spout should pull up and off it just sticks. Any suggestions?

we have the Wakely model which has been discontinued. However this faucet has the same appearance as the Wakely. We had problems with the sprayer unit cracking after 2 years not a lot of heavy use.
