Pfister Portland 1-Handle Kitchen Faucet with Side Spray in Stainless Steel

I do have an issue with the spout coming off to examine the diverter as the faucet has been squealing for a few months. When I take everything apart, down to where the spout should pull up and off it just sticks. Any suggestions?
