I purchased this for my 4 year old grand niece so she could practice her cutting skills. As a former teacher of young children I found they need to practice cutting skills as much as possible. I have not seen how my grand niece uses it so I can't comment on that.

The book itself is great, gets harder level by level. The scissor is the safest one so far I ran into. Costumer Service is amazing, I had ordered 10 but got 9, then I wrote an email to the costumer service and got a prompt reply. The missing one arrived in two days.
