      Not sure why this pole has such bad reviews. I bought the 9ft Contender to use as a bigger pole, to help reel in bigger fish. The reel is pretty smooth. Had no problems reeling in redfish or black drum with this pole. Highly recommend this combo if your not looking to spend alot of money on some ...

      I used to have this same rod and reel combo a while back but lost it along with all of my fishing gear during a bad time in my life, but I caught a lot of PBs with it. Now that I've got my life back together I decided to get another because I like it so much. I can't wait till it gets here!
