I have gps in my car but was told it would cost $300 to update 16th he maps. Why? If I buy this, I think I get lifetime updates free. Plus it shows more things than my car gps - like current speed limit and alerts me to reducing speed limits so that I am prepared.

This was a great product that I bought for my mom because she has difficulty navigating. It’s good for older people. It will talk at you and tell you how to get where you are going.

This is a great product. I loved my old Tom Tom, but it died and the new Tom Tom versions (this is Feb 2018) simply do not manage the maps the same way. Garmin is easily covering this hole; never like my old Tom Tom, but those Tom Tom's are gone forever. Buy this Garmin with confidence.

Best GPS I've ever had, a bit harsh on the display in the heat but Garmin replaced it very quickly at no cost to me so I definitely recommend.

Great for the price. Wish it had an earphone jack. Easy to update on the Garmin site. A bit difficult to change the route, at least for me. However it does recalculate the route if you choose to go a different way. Need more time to master it. All in all, a super buy.
