I did not realize how SMALL this colander would be. It was a requested gift to my daughter fo her birthday.....when she opened it, we all sort of snickered. I love the little colander, but for a family of 5, it is pretty small. However, since my daughter had to cook gluten free meals for hers...

This colander wasn't exactly what I was looking for but Hayneedle offered the closest product too what I wanted. I was looking for a grape purple 1 quart and this was a plum purple 1 1/2 quart. It arrived on time, on the day they stated, as it was well packaged it arrived in perfect condition.

I bought the colander in turquoise and it looks really pretty in person. It looks sharp out on the counter. Holds a lot of pasta and works well.
