The red colander is about 6" high setting on the bar and about 11" across the top. It is durable and heavy(not too heavy to use) not like some of the flimsy ones I received the other day from an alphabet named place! I am going to put fruit or something in it and set it on my Z-bar just for looks...

Nice colander--full size, sturdy, with bright enamel coating that makes it pretty enough to leave out on the counter! The handles are easily removable, if desired.

I love the enameled collanders. Bought three sizes. Definitely nice! Nothing is worse than a too small collander, or one that cannot handle the weight and "leg" collapses! They are lighter than my older one...that someone sqashed!! I'd suggest the 7 quart for canning or big family get togethers. ...
