      I purchased the Penn Prevail 12' surf rod and paired it with the Penn Conflict II LC 7000 for Pompano fishing. This setup casts well and performs as well too. Did not get any Pompano on that 1st outing but, I did catch this beautiful Permit which was released to live another day.

      I bought this rod last week ago and I try go fishing how's it work's. Ya it's great for surf perch fishing rod. The only thing that I observed this rod it's heavy if you use spinning reels. upgrade to makes lightweight I'll buy one again

      Pulled in 7 to 9 foot sharks with no problem. Not once did the poles come close to breaking. Held up for around 3 hrs fight time between 4 sharks.
