I was surprised at how well this knife cut and peeled fruits and veggies. It has a serrated blade. Looks and feels more like a steak knife but definitely does the job better than a steak knife. I like that it comes with a blade guard.

MAINSTAYS PARER IS THE BEST PARER I HAVE FOUND IN YEARS TO PEEL POTATOES APPLES CARROTS CELERY BROCCOLI AND LETTUCE . I DO RECOMMEND THIS KNIFE TO PEOPLE WHO COOKS OFTEN EVERYDAY OR SELDOM.
