Our old one was an Oster and it was fine, until it wasn't. Considered lots of others more expensive models and thinking about when and how we used the old one and two speeds with pulse ability was what we needed. Kichenaid is a good brand and price was pretty reasonable.

On/off is on the front. Liked that the speed control was on the top. (see photo) Also that the appliance comes apart for easy cleaning. The included beaker is good quality, holds 3 cups, and comes with a nice top for storage purposes. Electrical cord is round, gray/black and sturdy. Would reco...

I do like this blender. It works great for smoothies and soups. I didn't like that the pan guard was missing from the box. And I would like to see a cap of some sort added for when it is stored. The blades are extremely sharp and an accident could easily happen.

Good product overall. However I thought this was cordless because of the pictures and packaging, but it isn't. Also, packaging and owner's manual show a removable pan guard, but it isn't included. These are issues KitchenAid needs to address, not Walmart.
