auto program updates failed every time (4 different updates) in 2023 Federal and State tax returns. Needed to manually update Federal by download each Mac OS update from their web site. The State App was not available online so had to get from customer support.

Overall, H&R Block got me through taxes, but I think they fell short on the State Level, and, especially, things from the state data that I needed for Federal taxes. It does the job but the UI is clunky and can be confusing. Also needs admin rights to install patches--surely there is a way to modernize this so that is only needed the first time. Best practice is for people not to log into windows with admin accounts and only escalate when needed.
