A decent 'space opera' or space navy book. It seems like it has been a long time since someone has written a straightforward, us-against-them space navy book, something that feels like it is more out of the 50's. This book was enjoyable to read, and made me look forward to the rest of the series.

The second start on tbis book for me, it came out well...despite the idea that it had no beginning and no end. Its a tweener. Our hero leads the fleet to the ends of enemy space, victory after victory and after deceit from subordinates. Makes one wonder if the book series will ever complete.
