This "episode" begins a bit slowly…with some unconvincing danger and unthrilling excitement. Then it progresses with some interesting, if not exciting, filler. And finally finishes with a very convincing cliff-hanging ending that sets us up for the next novel.

Some of the tension is lost in the first half with no clear antagonist and no clear direction to the story. Geary tools around the universe, doing a typically naval mission. Still exciting, but I feel cheated by the editor. Space/naval battles continue--are we going to see another? C'mon series--...

I love all his books. The whole bit about Europa, and how they dealt with it, was pretty interesting...and the ending was a big surprise...I can't wait to see how that's handled in the next book!
