Unlike the refurbished Samsung Blu Ray that arrived DOA, the Sony has life and I'm hoping plenty of it. One should buy the 2 yr. replacement warranty when buying refurbished electronics. I thought I would never own a BluRay DVD player at the prices demanded for brand new units. I found Walmart's advertisement for Factory Refurbished players for only 48 dollars! I was a little dubious about buying refurbished, but they also offered a 2 year warranty for only 6.95! It works great.....

Excellent player. Great for Netflix and many more streaming options to choose from. Two drawbacks -- 1) description of player does not mention that it has Cinavia protection and 2) there is no DLNA so that I could access hard drive connected to my router for playing music and videos.
